Postal Code OM Conversion File

The Postal CodeOM Conversion File (PCCF) links six-character postal codesOM to standard geographic areas such as dissemination areas, census tracts, and census subdivisions. By linking postal codesOM to standard geographic areas, the file facilitates the extraction and subsequent aggregation of data for selected geographic areas. The PCCF also associates each postal codeOM with a longitude and latitude coordinate to support mapping applications.
The last issue of this publication was the Postal Code OM Conversion File (PCCF), June 2017 file released on December 13, 2017. As of February 2018, the distribution of this product is shared between Statistics Canada and Canada Post Corporation. Statistics Canada will continue to provide it to our share partners and the Data Liberation Initiative. Canada Post Corporation will assume the distribution of this product to all others.
