Transition Home Fact Sheets - ARCHIVED

As part of the federal government's Family Violence Initiative, the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics conducts the Transition Home Survey. This biennial survey is conducted for all known residential facilities for abused women. This report contains the fact sheets for each province and territory, as well as one at the national level. These provide the most recent information on the characteristics of women and children residing in shelters on April 15, 2002. In addition, information on the characteristics of facilities and the types of services provided by shelters during 2001/02 is included.
