Conceptual model for the definitional metadata of a statistical agency

This paper presents the Framework for Subject Matter Standards (FSMS), which shows a global picture of the statistical units and variables used at Statistics Canada. The FSMS also provides a framework for organizing the metadata and structuring the definitions in the Integrated Metadatabase (IMDB).
