Investment in non-residential construction for Canada increased 0.7% in February compared with January. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 0.3%, Prince Edward Island was down 3.8%, Nova Scotia was up 1.9%, New Brunswick was up 0.2%, Quebec was down 0.4%, Ontario was up 0.5%, Manitoba was down 1.2%, Saskatchewan was up 1.3%, Alberta was up 3.1%, British Columbia was up 0.6%, Yukon was up 0.7%, the Northwest Territories was up 16.3% and Nunavut was down 11.8%.

Total investment for Canada was $7,023.5 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $24.7 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $20.2 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $139.4 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $117.9 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,193.8 million, total investment for Ontario was $2,958.7 million, total investment for Manitoba was $230.7 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $196.9 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,004.2 million, total investment for British Columbia was $1,101.2 million, total investment for Yukon was $21.9 million, total investment for the Northwest Territories was $4.7 million and total investment for Nunavut was $9.2 million.

Institutional: Market share was 30.8% and total investment totalled $2,162.6 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 8.2% or $164.4 million.
