This is a map of Canada by province and territory, showing the month-to-month percentage changes for investment in residential building construction. Green arrows pointing upward represent an increase, while red arrows pointing downward represent a decrease.
Investment in residential construction for Canada increased 0.4% in July compared with June 2025. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 2.9%, Prince Edward Island was down 1.8%, Nova Scotia was down 5.3%, New Brunswick was up 2.0%, Quebec was up 4.4%, Ontario was down 0.9%, Manitoba was up 1.9%, Saskatchewan was down 6.9%, Alberta was down 0.3%, British Columbia was up 1.2%, Yukon was down 65.4%, Northwest Territories was down 41.0% and Nunavut was down 17.2%.

Total investment for Canada was $15,991.1 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $94.6 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $81.9 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $463.8 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $265.8 million, total investment for Quebec was $3,830.7 million, total investment for Ontario was $5,795.1 million, total investment for Manitoba was $536.5 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $328.5 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,951.9 million, total investment for British Columbia was $2,559.8 million, total investment for Yukon was $3.8 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $9.0 million and total investment for Nunavut was $69.6 million.

Single homes: Market share was 33.7% and total investment totalled $2,824.9 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 7.0% or $185.0 million.
Semi-detached homes: Market share was 3.2% and total investment totalled $266.5 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 6.8% or $17.0 million.
Row homes: Market share was 8.9% and total investment totalled $742.7 million, representing a year-over-year decrease of 6.7% or $53.5 million.
Condos and rental apartments: Market share was 54.2% and total investment totalled $4,538.9 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 16.5% or $643.0 million.
