Building permit values in Canada down 1.5% compared with May. Newfoundland and Labrador down 64.1%, Prince Edward Island up 82.5%, Nova Scotia down 11.8%, New Brunswick down 35.6%, Quebec up 2.4%, Ontario up 11.6%, Manitoba down 45.6%, Saskatchewan up 15.8%, Alberta down 8.1%, British Columbia down 20.3%, Yukon up 303.1%, Northwest Territories down 18.6%, Nunavut up 90.5%.

Residential: a month-over-month increase of 3.1% in total value.

Non-residential: a month-over-month decrease of 10.4% in total value.

Single-family dwellings: total value was $3,772 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 0.6% or $23.4 million.

Multi-family dwellings: total value was $4,460 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 6.5% or $273.8 million.

Industrial: total value was $852 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 0.6% or $5.5 million.

Commercial: total value was $2,023 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 2.7% or $56.0 million.

Institutional: total value was $794 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 32.2% or $376.1 million.
