The title of the map is "Net flows of paid workers jobs by economic region, 2021"

This is a map of Canada showing the net flows of paid workers jobs by economic region in 2021. For a given economic region, a net flow is positive when the number of jobs provided by other regions is greater than the number of jobs provided to other regions. In the opposite situation, the net flow is negative.

In 2021, the economic regions with substantial positive net flows of jobs were: Montréal economic region (+333,000 jobs), Toronto economic region (+145,000 jobs), Ottawa economic region (+40,000 jobs) and Wood Buffalo–Cold Lake economic region (+24,000 jobs).

The Capitale-Nationale economic region (around Québec City) registered a positive net flow of about 21,000 jobs, while Winnipeg economic region registered a positive net flow of about 18,000 jobs.

In contrast, the economic regions with strong negative net flows were:

The Montérégie economic region (-144,000 jobs), the Lanaudière economic region (-79,000 jobs), the Laurentides economic region (-66,000 jobs), the Hamilton–Niagara Peninsula economic region (-61,000 jobs), the Kitchener–Waterloo–Barrie economic region (-53,000 jobs) and the Laval economic region (-42,000 jobs).
