Investment in residential construction for Canada decreased 2.6% compared to June 2021. Newfoundland and Labrador was down 20.7%, Prince Edward Island was down 8.9%, Nova Scotia was down 4.5%, New Brunswick was down 5.3%, Quebec was down 1.2%, Ontario was down 2.6%, Manitoba was down 6.5%, Saskatchewan was down 19.3%, Alberta was down 1.5%, British Columbia was down 1.8%, Yukon was up 4.6%, Northwest Territories was down 1.8%, Nunavut was down 4.3%.

Total investment for Canada was $13,425.8 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $61.4 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $63.4 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $271.9 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $190.1 million, total investment for Quebec was $2,954.4 million, total investment for Ontario was $5,707.2 million, total investment for Manitoba was $445.7 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $167.8 million, total investment for Alberta was $1,323.9 million, total investment for British Columbia was $2,185.2 million, total investment for Yukon was $30.5 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $19.7 million, total investment for Nunavut was $4.6 million.

Single homes: Market share was 45.7%, total investment totalled $3,392.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 54.6% or $1,198.0 million.

Semi-detached homes: Market share was 3.8%, total investment totalled $284.8 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 32.2% or $69.5 million.

Row homes: Market share was 9.3%, total investment totalled $693.7 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 41.5% or $203.6 million.

Condos and rental apartments: Market share was 41.2%, total investment totalled $3,058.2 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 23.6% or $583.5 million.
