Investment in residential construction for Canada increased 0.7% compared to September 2020. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 13.2%, Prince Edward Island was down 0.8%, Nova Scotia was up 3.6%, New Brunswick was down 11.0%, Quebec was up 1.4%, Ontario was up 3.8%, Manitoba was down 14.9%, Saskatchewan was up 18.8%, Alberta was down 3.3%, British Columbia was down 1.3%, Yukon was down 20.4%, Northwest Territories was up 3.9%, Nunavut was too unreliable to be published.

Row homes: Market share was 9.5%, total investment totalled $550.3 million, representing a year-over-year decrease of 4.0% or $23.0 million.
Condo and rental apartments: Market share was 44.4%, total investment totalled $2,572.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 12.2% or $279.5 million.
