Building permit values in Canada up 6.2% compared to May. Newfoundland and Labrador up 71.2%, Prince Edward Island down 11.7%, Nova Scotia up 2.2%, New Brunswick up 33.9%, Quebec up 13.6%, Ontario down 7.3%, Manitoba up 21.3%, Saskatchewan up 17.3%, Alberta down 9.0%, British Columbia up 35.3%, Yukon up 41.5%, Northwest Territories down 33.3%, Nunavut too unreliable to be published.

Residential: a month-over month increase of 7.0%

Non residential: a month-over-month increase of 4.6%

Single family dwellings: total value was $2,119 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 6.6% or $131.1 million.

Multi-family dwellings: total value was $3,226 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 7.3% or $220.1 million.

Industrial: total value was $591 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 4.0% or $24.7 million.

Commercial: total value was $1,280 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 9.1% or $128.3 million.

Institutional: total value was $841 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 47.7% or $271.5 million.
