Investment in non-residential construction for Canada increased 65.6% compared with April 2020. Newfoundland and Labrador was up 2.6%, Prince Edward Island was down 6.4%, Nova Scotia was up 0.8%, New Brunswick was down 4.9%, Quebec was up 743.9%, Ontario was up 107.8%, Manitoba was up 0.8%, Saskatchewan was down 2.4%, Alberta was down 0.4%, British Columbia was down 1.1%, Yukon was down 2.5%, Northwest Territories was down 9.2%, Nunavut was down 9.2%.

Total investment for Canada was $4,944.4 million, total investment for Newfoundland and Labrador was $38.6 million, total investment for Prince Edward Island was $17.9 million, total investment for Nova Scotia was $54.7 million, total investment for New Brunswick was $63.7 million, total investment for Quebec was $1,107.3 million, total investment for Ontario was $1,927.7 million, total investment for Manitoba was $206.6 million, total investment for Saskatchewan was $111.4 million, total investment for Alberta was $658.1 million, total investment for British Columbia was $737.8 million, total investment for Yukon was $9.8 million, total investment for Northwest Territories was $3.2 million, total investment for Nunavut was $7.6 million.

Institutional: Market share was 23.3%, total investment totalled $1,153.6 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 2.7% or $30.4 million.
