Building permit values in Canada down 2.4% compared to October 2019. Newfoundland and Labrador up 6.0%, Prince Edward Island down 30.8%, Nova Scotia down 22.6%, New Brunswick down 7.1%, Quebec up 10.3%, Ontario down 5.7%, Manitoba down 33.2%, Saskatchewan down 10.8%, Alberta up 3.4%, British Columbia up 1.0%, Yukon down 88.1%, Northwest Territories up 26.9%, Nunavut up 3100.0%.

Residential: a month-over month decrease of 4.0%
Non residential: a month-over-month decrease of 0.1%
Single family dwellings: total value was $2,251 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 5.6% or $120.1 million.
Multi-family dwellings: total value was $2,483 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 11.3% or $316.4 million.
Industrial: total value was $753 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 24.5% or $148.3 million.
Commercial: total value was $1,690 million, representing a month-over-month decrease of 13.5% or $263.6 million.
Institutional: total value was $894 million, representing a month-over-month increase of 14.5% or $113.6 million.
