Revised data for 2005 and 2007, as well as data for 2009 from the Material and Energy Flow Accounts on water use by industries, governments and households are now available. The revisions are due to revisions in the underlying data and methods used to compile the accounts and to the correction to the Industrial Water Survey data released on September 7, 2012.

The Material and Energy Flow Accounts describe the annual flows of materials and energy between the Canadian environment and economy.
