Employment Insurance, December 2010
In December, 659,700 people received regular Employment Insurance benefits, down 9,400 (-1.4%) from November and the third consecutive monthly decrease. The number of beneficiaries declined in every province and territory, except the Northwest Territories.
Wholesale trade, December 2010
Wholesale sales increased for a fifth consecutive month in December, rising by 0.8% to $45.9 billion. Overall, six of the seven subsectors reported gains, representing almost all of wholesale sales.
