Prices received by farmers in June for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.
The June Ontario hog price was $55.82 per hundredweight, down 7.0% from May, and down 17.2% from June 2008 when the price was $67.44.
The Saskatchewan non-board wheat price was down 2.7% in June compared with May to stand at $175.59 per metric tonne. The non-board wheat price for Saskatchewan stood at $273.77 in June 2008, representing a 35.9% drop.
