Canada's net direct investment position with the rest of the world reached $828.4 billion at the end of 2025, down $37.1 billion from 2024. Growth of foreign direct investment in Canada outpaced the growth of Canadian direct investment abroad for the first time since 2022.

The Industrial Product Price Index increased 2.4% month over month in March and gained 7.8% year over year. Meanwhile, the Raw Materials Price Index increased by 12.0% month over month and rose 23.6% year over year.

In February, the number of Canadian-resident return trips from the United States decreased 12.5% year over year, while the number of trips to Canada by United States residents increased 5.9%.
