November 2011 (Previous release)

Prices received by farmers in November for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.

The Ontario corn price in November was $224.81 per tonne, down 8.7% from October, but up 25.9% from November 2010 when the price was $178.63.

The November Alberta slaughter steer price was $113.97 per hundredweight, up 5.1% from October and 22.0% from November 2010 when the price was $93.42.

Note: Farm commodity prices are now available on CANSIM. Prices for over 35 commodities are available by province, some series going back 20 years.
