An annual subscription service offering institutional licences for access to the Public Use Microdata File Collection is now available.

This service offers access to the collection of available Statistics Canada Public Use Microdata Files (PUMF). Public use microdata files contain anonymized, non-aggregated data. Using statistical software, the end user can group and manipulate data variables in these files to suit data and research requirements. For an annual service fee, designated contacts at subscribing, licensed institutions can view and download microdata and documentation files in the PUMF Collection. Downloaded files can subsequently be shared with other persons affiliated with that institution for research and non-commercial use.
