February 2009 (Previous release)

Monthly lumber production by sawmills fell 13.6% in February to 3 494.2 thousand cubic metres. Compared with the same month in 2008, lumber production declined 30.6%.

Sawmills shipped 3 555.3 thousand cubic metres of lumber in February, down 6.5% from January.
