Zero-emission vehicles in British Columbia, third quarter of 2020

In the third quarter of 2020, 8.4% of new vehicle registrations in British Columbia were zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Of these ZEVs, 78.3% were battery electric vehicles. In this period, 4,608 new ZEVs were registered in British Columbia.

The Victoria census metropolitan area (CMA) had the highest percentage of ZEVs in CanadaNote 2 in the third quarter of 2020, with 12.9% of total new vehicles registered. In the Vancouver CMA, 10.9% of new vehicles registered were ZEVs.
