At the national level, net interprovincial migration equals to zero as the sum of interprovincial in-migrants is equivalent to the sum of interprovincial out-migrants across provinces and territories.
As mentioned in the Methodology Section, the provincial statistical agencies of Quebec and British Columbia provide their most recent estimates of births and deaths to Statistics Canada. The figures are used to produce preliminary and updated estimates.

Mean absolute percentage precocity error for total emigration includes the mean absolute percentages for emigration, returning emigration and net temporary emigration.
