Note(s):Federal sentenced custody: detention of offenders convicted of a crime serving a term of two years or more in a federal facility. Remand: detention while awaiting trial or sentencing
Provincial and territorial sentenced custody: detention of offenders convicted of a crime serving a term of less than two years in a provincial or territorial facility. Probation/supervised probation: offender is placed under the supervision of a probation officer or other designated person.
Conditional sentence: when the offender serves a term of imprisonment in the community under specified conditions.
