This is a vertical bar graph that illustrates the 5 year rates of spousal violence for women and men by current unions, previous unions, and current and/or previous unions in 1999 and 2004.
 
The Y axis is measured by the percentage of men and women and increases by increments of 5 from 0 to 30.

The X axis is divided into four sections each containing a set of 3 bars, for a total of 12 bars.  On the X axis from left to right, the four sections are females in 1999, females in 2004, males in 1999 and males in 2004.  Each section has 3 bars, the first bar in each section represents the percentage of spousal violence by current spouse, the second bar represents the percentage of spousal violence by previous spouse, and the third bar represents the percentage of spousal violence by current and/or previous spouse.

The percentage of female victims of spousal violence by a current partner in 1999 is 4.
The percentage of female victims of spousal violence by a previous partner in 1999 is 28.
The percentage of female victims of spousal violence by a current and/or previous partner in 1999 is 8.

The percentage of female victims of spousal violence by a current partner in 2004 is 3.
The percentage of female victims of spousal violence by a previous partner in 2004 is 21.

The percentage of male victims of spousal violence by a current partner in 1999 is 4.

The percentage of male victims of spousal violence by a current partner in 2004 is 4.
The percentage of male victims of spousal violence by a previous partner in 2004 is 16.
The percentage of male victims of spousal violence by a current and/or previous partner in 2004 is 6.
