This is a vertically stacked bar graph that illustrates the proportion of men and women with two of more friends by age in 1990 and 2006.
The Y axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of ten from 0 up to 100.
On the X axis from left to right the population is disaggregated into the following five age groups: 15 to 24, 25 to 44, 45 to 64, 65 to 74 and 75 and over. Each group includes data for two years: 1990 and 2006. There are also bars for each year for the total population.
The data points (%) from left to right are 95 and 94 for men aged 15 to 24 in 1990 and 2006 respectively, 92 and 94 for women aged 15 to 24; 92 and 88 for men aged 25 to 44; 91 and 88 for women aged 25 to 44; 85 and 82 for men aged 45 to 64; 86 and 83 for women aged 45 to 64; 82 and 80 for men aged 65 to 74; and 79 and 78 for women aged 65 to 74 ; 68 and 74 For senior men aged 75 and older and 76 and 71 for senior women aged 75 and older.
