This is a horizontal bar graph that illustrates the types of marital problems related to the child's disability on previous parental relationships, by severity of the child's disability, 2006.

The Y axis is comprised of five types of marital problems related to the child's disability from a previous parental relationship, arranged in order of frequency from top to bottom.

  • Disagreements/arguments

  • Separation/divorce

  • Tiredness/lack of sleep

  • Stress/depression

  • Financial difficulties

Each type of problem is further divided into the severity of the child's disability, which includes, severe to very severe and mild to moderate.

The X axis is measured by percentages and increases from left to right by increments of ten from 0 to 100.

The rate of parents of children with a severe to very severe disability who reported their child's disability contributed to disagreements/arguments in a previous relationship was 87.5%.

The rate of parents of children with mild to moderate disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to disagreements/arguments in a previous relationship was 81.9%.

The rate of parents of children with a severe to very severe disability who reported their child's disability contributed to Separation/divorce in a previous relationship was 85.8%.

The rate of parents of children with mild to moderate disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to Separation/divorce in a previous relationship was 57.7%.

The rate of parents of children with severe to very severe disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to tiredness/lack of sleep in a previous relationship was 82.4%.

The rate of parents of children with mild to moderate disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to tiredness/lack of sleep in a previous relationship was 68.4%.

The rate of parents of children with severe to very severe disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to stress/depression in a previous relationship was 82.4%.

The rate of parents of children with mild to moderate disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to stress/depression in a previous relationship was 82.2%.

The rate of parents of children with severe to very severe disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to financial difficulties in a previous relationship was 52.9%.

The rate of parents of children with mild to moderate disabilities who reported their child's disability contributed to financial difficulties in a previous relationship was 45.4%
