This graph indicates that in all age groups (25 to 54 years, 55 to 64 years, 65 to 74 years, 75 years and over), the proportion of people who used the Internet and e-mail was higher among those who had a post-secondary diploma than those who did not. For example, around 45% of people aged 65 to 74 who had a post-secondary diploma had used the Internet in the past 12 months, versus approximately 20% of people who did not have a post-secondary diploma. Among people between 25 and 54 years of age, the rate of Internet use was higher, but there was nevertheless a discrepancy between those who had a post-secondary diploma and those who did not. To illustrate, whereas around 90% of people with a post-secondary diploma had used the Internet in the past 12 months, this proportion was less than 70% for those who did not have this type of diploma.
