This graph shows the evolution of the median age at retirement between 1976 and 2005 in men, women and in total. The median age at retirement was relatively stable at 64 years for both men and women until 1987, after which it fell until 2000. In 1998, the median age at retirement 62 years for men versus 60 years for women. From 1998 to 2002, this age remained fairly stable, then increased slightly. In 2005, it was 60 years for women and 62.5 years for men.
