Percentage of persons aged 55 to 64 with a university degree, by sex, 1990 to 2005

This graph shows the evolution of the proportion of people between 55 and 64 years of age who had a university degree between 1990 and 2005. This proportion increases each year. In total, just over 5% of elderly people had a university degree in 1990. In 2005, this proportion grew to over 17%. For all the years, elderly men were more likely to have a university degree. For example, around 22% of men in 2005 had a university degree, compared to approximately 15% of women.
