As with many other areas in Statistics Canada, the Culture Statistics Program (CSP) benefits from the informed advice of an external advisory committee. The National Advisory Committee on Culture Statistics (NACCS) was created in 1984 with a mandate to advise the Chief Statistician and Statistics Canada on conceptual, methodological, analytical and other issues pertaining to culture statistics.  The work of the committee will serve as an important and useful input for the development, conduct, and continuous improvement of statistical programs that measure the cultural sector in Canada.
