(65 years and older). Populations based upon July 1st estimates
from Statistics Canada, Demography Division.

Includes all other family members related by
blood, marriage or adoption. Examples include grandchildren, uncles, aunts,

or girlfriends, neighbours, authority figures and casual acquaintances.
Note(s):
Excludes incidents where the victim's sex and/or age was unknown. In 2009,
data from the Incident-based Uniform Crime Reporting Survey covered 99%
of the population of Canada.
