As information about gender was collected as of 2019, data from earlier cycles are based on sex (i.e., sex at birth) instead of gender (i.e., gender identity or gender expression). Missing responses are not shown but they are included in percent calculations; therefore, responses may not add up to 100%. For comparability over time, trend analysis is limited to the provinces. Confidence intervals should be interpreted as follows: if the survey were repeated many times, then 95% of the time (or 19 times out of 20), the confidence interval would cover the true population value.
