... not applicable Note: Intimate partner violence refers to police-reported incidents of violent Criminal Code offences committed among individuals in current or former legally married or common-law partnerships, boyfriend or girlfriend relationships, or other intimate relationships. Same-/opposite-sex status was derived from the relationship variable, and the sex of the victim and of the accused. Only incidents which involved one victim and one accused person are included. Excludes incidents where the sex or the age of the victim or the accused were unknown, or where the accused-victim relationship was unknown. Incidents involving victims and accused individuals aged 90 years and older are excluded from analyses due to possible instances of miscoding of unknown age within this age category. Incidents involving children under 15 years are excluded from the analysis.
