The result is given by the odds ratio, which is calculated in relation to the reference category. For example, Model 2 indicates that a male, compared with a female (reference category) with exactly the same characteristics, was 6.37 times more likely to have reported driving after having consumed at least two drinks in the preceding hour, at least once in the 12 months preceding the survey.
