This publication, produced jointly by Statistics Canada and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), is a compilation of over 80 indicators measuring health status, non-medical determinants of health, health system performance and community and health system characteristics.
These indicators are produced at the health region level, as well as at provincial, territorial and Canada levels. Data used to calculate the indicators are the most recently available and represent a wide range of sources including the Census, surveys and administrative records.

In the Data tables, maps and fact sheets section updated data tables are available including the following indicators from the Canadian Health Measures Survey:
The Health Trends product reflects the latest information from the 2010 Canadian Community Health Survey and has been updated to include data from the latest releases from the Canadian Cancer Registry and Vital Statistics.
The Health Profile reflects the two-year period estimates from the 2009/2010 Canadian Community Health Survey as well as other data from a number of sources from Statistics Canada and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
The publication Health Regions: Boundaries and Correspondence with Census Geography reflects the boundaries as of October 2011 and provides the geographic linkage to 2001 and 2006 Censuses.
Finally, a series of thematic maps for selected health indicators based on the latest data available from the 2009/2010 Canadian Community Health Survey are available in the Health Indicator Maps product.
