| 1. La restructuration entreprise par l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard a consisté à regrouper les quatre régions administratives en une seule en novembre 2005. À partir de mai 2012, les données pour l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard sont diffusées au niveau provincial seulement. | |
| 2. Des changements de nom et de code mineurs ont été apportés aux régions sociosanitaires de la Nouvelle-Écosse. | |

Dans le cas de la plupart des sources de données, on ne dispose pas de données au niveau de la région socio-sanitaire pour certaines régions du Nord du Manitoba et de la Saskatchewan dont la population est faible. Pour ne pas devoir supprimer de données, on a fusionné avec des régions voisines les régions pour lesquelles la petite taille de l'échantillon ou les petits nombres observés risquaient de nuire à la qualité des données. Ainsi :

5. En novembre 2010, cinq nouvelles zones ont été approuvées à des fins d'utilisation en Alberta par le comité mixte de la géographie des services de santé de l'Alberta et du ministère de la Santé et du Bien-être de l'Alberta. Ces cinq zones sont des regroupements des anciennes neuf régies régionales de la santé..Les codes des régions sociosanitaires de l'Alberta ont été mis à jour pour refléter les correspondances aux codes provinciaux. « Alberta Health and Wellness » utilise les codes R1 à R9 pour identifier les régions sociosanitaires.
