| 1. | Population aged 12 and over who rate their own health status as being either excellent, very good, good, fair or poor. Self-rated health is an indicator of overall health status. It can reflect aspects of health not captured in other measures, such as incipient disease, disease severity, aspects of positive health status, physiological and psychological reserves and social and mental function. | ||
| 2. | When comparing estimates, it is important to use confidence intervals to determine if differences between values are statistically significant. Confidence intervals describe sampling variability and give an indication of the precision of a given estimate. | ||
