1. Educator remuneration includes educators' salaries, wages and allowances, but excludes fringe benefits and teachers' superannuation pension funds.
2. In Newfoundland and Labrador, the educator remuneration increased in 2001/2002 and 2002/2003, following contract negotiations. Please note that in 2002/2003, the school year was increased by a week.
3. Data exclude adult upgrading programs.
4. Figure has been adjusted to reflect the change in school year reporting period.
5. Nova Scotia data prior to 2005/2006 not comparable to more recent data due to change in methodology.
