0 true zero or a value rounded to zero

1. Excludes veterinary programs.

2. Not a standard Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) category. Physicians are comprised of Medicine and Medical residency programs.

3. Includes veterinary programs but excludes all health programs, Psychology, Social work, and Health and physical education/fitness.

Notes: With the exception of Physical therapy / therapist and Occupational therapy / therapist, type of program is defined using the 2- or 4-digit level of the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP). See Appendix 3 for more details. Data for medicine programs and medical residency programs are not consistent with those published by the Association of Faculties of Medicine Canada and the Canadian Post-M.D. Education Registry, respectively. Future work is required to understand these inconsistencies.

To ensure the confidentiality of responses, a random rounding process is applied to the data. As a result, when these data are summed or grouped, the total value may not match the sum of the individual values, since total and subtotals are independently rounded. Similarly, percentage distributions, which are calculated on rounded data, may not necessarily add up to 100%.
