| 1. Full-time equivalent enrolment divided by full-time equivalent educators. 2. Ontario data for 1999/2000 through 2001/2002 are new estimates that are more comparable with the methodology used beginning in 2002/2003. New estimates are not available for 1997/1998 and 1998/1999. These changes for Ontario also affect data at the Canada level. 3. The Alberta and Quebec data have been revised for 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 as of September 9, 2008. These changes also affect data at the Canada level. 4. Nunavut was created on April 1, 1999. Prior to that date, data for Nunavut were included with data for the Northwest Territories. This creates a break in series for the Northwest Territories in 1999/2000. Notes: These data are for public schools only and do not include private schools and federal schools. Due to the nature of ESESP data collection, these data are updated on an ongoing basis and are therefore subject to further revisions.
