1. The first cycle of the longitudinal Youth in Transition Survey (YITS) sampled a nationally representative group of 18- to 20-year-olds in 1999. The 24- to 26-year-olds who responded to YITS Cycle 4 six years later represent the original population sampled, but are not representative of all 24- to 26-year-olds in individual provinces or in Canadian provinces as a whole in 2005. This table also excludes a small number of respondents who were still taking high school credits in December 2005.
