1. This index was used in PCEIP 2007 university tuition fee tables. As there are no universities in the territories, the index is not calculated for the territories.
2. Based on CANSIM Table 384 - 0002.
3. The GDP implicit price index is used to deflate university research and development (R&D) expenditures and the source of funds of these expenditures for Canada and the provinces. The source of this index is Statistics Canada's CANSIM Table 384-0036 (1997=100). For PCEIP 2007, this index was rebased to 2001=100 by dividing the series for Canada and each province by the 2001 factor.
