Provincial Drop-out rates - Trends and Consequences

The high school drop-out rate has declined significantly in Canada since the early 1990s, especially in the Atlantic provinces. But girls have made more progress than boys and concerns remain over rural and small-town students.

Census at School: A profile of readers and non-readers in grades 4 to 12

During the 2004-2005 academic year, over 22,000 students across Canada went on-line to complete the Census at School questionnaires. This article presents the survey results that show what students themselves had to say about their reading and associated daily habits.
