Teachers’ salaries rose 19% between 1992 and 2003, slightly below the increase in the Consumer Price Index. Larger increases occurred for instructional supplies (an increase of 69%), fees and contractual services (up 43%) and costs associated with school facilities, supplies and services (up 40%).
