The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade has requested that the Index for Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina (FSD) be discontinued.

The source of the Post Index for Lusaka, Zambia was changed on April 2013 from a Statistics Canada survey to a converted US Department of State result. Due to an anomaly in the conversion process, an erroneous result was published. The correct value should have been 110.

Other Post Index adjustments are indicated on the basis of our continuing monthly reviews.  These adjustments are predicated on shifts in the current values of the respective currencies used at the posts relative to the Canadian dollar.  They also take into account comparative rates of change in consumer prices at these posts and in Ottawa since the last surveys were carried out.
