Aircraft take-offs and landings at Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations decreased 2.0% in February 2014 from the same month the previous year. These 92 airports reported 358,208 movements in February 2014 compared with 365,679 movements at 93 airports in February 2013.
Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) decreased 2.0% (-5,284 movements) in February 2014 from the same month the previous year. These airports reported 259,998 movements compared with 265,282 movements in February 2013.
There were 98,210 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) in February 2014 compared with 100,397 movements in February 2013 (a decrease of 2.2 %).
