There were 443,614 aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations in October 2012 compared with 489,355 movements in October 2011.

Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) decreased (-24,506 movements) in October 2012 from the same month in 2011. These airports reported 323,029 movements compared with 347,535 movements in October 2011.

There were 120,585 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) in October 2012 compared with 141,820 movements in October 2011.
