There were 506,342 aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations in June 2012 compared with 524,039 movements in June 2011.

Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) decreased 3.6% (-13,564 movements) in June 2012 from the same month the previous year. These airports reported 366,941 movements compared with 380,505 movements in June 2011.

In June 2012, there were 139,401 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) recorded. This represents a decrease of 2.9% (-4,133 movements) compared with the previous year.
