Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations decreased 11.6% in September 2010 from September 2009. These airports reported 475,902 movements in September compared with 538,362 movements in September 2009.

There were 344,510 itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) reported in September 2010. This represents a 9.8% decrease (-37,264 movements) compared with the same month a year earlier.

There were 131,392 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) recorded in September 2010. This represents a decrease of 25,196 movements (-16.1%) compared with September 2009.
