  1. Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations decreased 3.1% in August 2010 from August 2009. These airports reported 537,351 movements in August compared with 554,654 movements in August 2009.
  2. There were 392,668 itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) reported in August 2010. This represents a 2.8% decrease (-11,298 movements) compared with the same month a year earlier.
  3. There were 144,683 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) recorded in August 2010. This represents a decrease of 6,005 movements (-4.0%) compared with August 2009.
