  1. Aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations increased by 7.2% in January compared with January 2009. These airports reported 388,346 movements in January 2010 compared with 362,228 movements in January 2009.
  2. Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) increased 5.0% (+13,661 movements) in January 2010 compared with the same month a year earlier.
  3. Local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) increased by 14.0% (+12,457 movements) in January 2010 over the previous year.
